Salt on snails kills them so it isn't anything wild PLUS it would be a cool way to get their drops. Ideally 1 should instantly kill the one who ate it but I'll leave the balance up to Klei. Would add another use to salt, waiting for them to come out of their shells takes a really long time. Even if it takes 3 salts per snail, that's adequate. Would make for some really fun interactions between ocean and caves and I love the idea of expanding upon slurtles/snurtles slightly. Glad to see someone else thought of it.
