[Game Update] - 504332

  • Developer
  • Fixed a client crash while using a number of popular mods.
  • Fixed a bug where objects would not spawn in the ruins. This also fixes a small save/load window where the Atrium would fail to respawn the items in the ruins.
  • Reverted the recent changes around mounting and waking up Beefalo.
  • Fixed the loot dropped from the Ice Bream
  • Adjusted the fish selection weights in the Waterlogged biome and the Fallounder during Autumn.
  • Wood Gates and Hollow Stumps can now be extinguished while smoldering but can no longer be used while smoldering or burning.

So out of curiosity, what was all of this about? What was the original change meant to achieve, what caused it to make sleeping beefalo unmountable (since this was said to be unintended), and why was it all ultimately reverted?

There was a crash and some other bugs around trying to mount beefalo that was bound to a player (via the Beefalo Bell) while they were disconnecting from the server. The original fix caused a knock-on that you could not mount sleeping beefalo any more, which lead to the "wake them up" design, but there more knock-ons, so the original bug has been fixed properly and the other changes were reverted instead of chasing after more bugs.

so youre telling us we can just mount beefalos as before?

Hi Scott! Thanks for the update! Amazing job as always!.

 

Have you guys checked the attack animation delay bug that has been in the game for a while? I noticed it from some patches ago that right after you press F or CTRL + F to attack, the character takes a slight delay before doing the action. This may sound silly but it is pretty relevant for kiting enemies

Well there are nice changes but im still thinking that  royal module still pretty underpower in comparation. what if idk wx with that module can regenerate a small amount of health to nearby players like the life what they recovers with that or something.

Idk just please make that module worthly pls
