All I know so far that disabling all mods fixes it, but I don't know how to figure out which one breaks it. I guess I will just keep reenabling them and we'll see the rest. I could rule out client mods, so it's one of the dozen server mods I use...

I don't play with Server Mods so that can't be my problem.

Client mods can still cause problems. Disable those too.

i guess this is good, but I still just wish WX's weren't motivated to eat gears at all, even with this change i still feel like i will need to lock/hide the gears away from any WX's. But at least now I can just kill them to get them back
