The illumination circuit should only take up two slots, the optoelectronic circuit should turn on only at night

Recommended Posts

The optoelectronic gives you night vision and is obviously more powerful than the illumination circuit, taking 4 slots is reasonable, so I think the illumination circuit should only take up 2 slots.

Also the night vision turning on at dusk is extremely annoying, it should only turn on at night (except full moon) and in the caves where there are no light.

Wha? No.

It still frees up one of your THREE equipment slots. Allowing you to go to the ruins with armor weapon and a backpack out at all times. Its incredibly useful, and worth every one of its four slots. If you think the nightvision one is probably better, you’re probably right, but its still infinite light. And if there wasnt a nightvision circuit, almost no one would complain about it being four slots.
in other words if you think it should be cheaper than nightvision module, then nightvision should be more expensive.

I also think night vision and lighting should have different numbers of slots so there is a real choice between them, with the current 6 slots I would decrease the light slots to 3 so it would be chosen whenever I wanted to use another 3 circuit slots, if the slots increased to 7 as is being proposed I would increase the night vision cost to 5 and keep the light at 4.

I don't speak English, sorry if there are too many mistakes.

But one acceleration 2.0 gives you +25% speed is the same as a walking cane and only takes up two slots, compared to that is a small ring of light worth four slots?

Night vision should always take less space then illumination because the illumination is also infinite light to other players

But no one will stick around you all night, especially if you have acceleration 2.0 plugged for the remaining two slots and going faster than your teammate.

I think keeping light to 3 slots is a good trade, as you can chose to have less visibility for more function if that's what you desire. Plus it let's it stack for a bigger radius, which I'm sure someone will find a use for, statistical speaking.

It should definitely be either 2 or 3.

Why are torches, lanterns, and mining hats so cheap to make and refuel while moggles are so expensive to make and refuel? There's already a ton of infinite light sources, too, but not a single infinite night vision source. Or I guess technically you can maybe count one for doing the celestial champion stuff but that just goes even further to show how much harder night vision is to obtain than light, and can only be used on the surface.

How about moggles using 5 slots instead
