I didn’t mean for YOU to dismiss them, I meant that Klei can not dismiss the fact that unless they patch it: Players can now get a Beefalo as early as Day 1 by ringing a bell by its ear that Beefalo will follow you regardless of if your feeding it your grass and twigs or not as it is now your personal Woby…

You can then BREAK this Bond and that Beefalo will return to being Wild, but it’ll stay wherever you left it and start creating its own Herd.. you can PASSIVELY plant these herds all around your map to wipe out Hound Waves/Bearger/almost Anything else for You.

Your not feeding it, your not taming it, your just ringing a bell by its ear walking it to a new area and leaving it there to go repeat the same process with a new Woby-like Bell Bound Beefalo.

Vargs in a hound wave were likely added because Klei knows you can do the above now.

It will not, in fact, do this. You need to tame and then un-tame a beefalo to make a new heard.

(Edit: This is wrong. See @maradyne's post below)

Also, I don't think houndwaves were balanced around a very optional feature, and were more likely changed because of ongoing complaints about the mechanic.

Taking a beefalo a large distance away and leaving it alone for an extended period of time is enough to create a new herd.

No tame needed, just the bell.

I mean even if Klei patches it so you need to carry 2-3 Beefalo to the new location to get them to start producing a herd: people still heavily underestimate the power of being able to mass produce Beefalo wherever the heck you want them (including caves and lunar island)

Klei will need to balance the game around that.
