If DST "ends" when the story does, then it will be a long time before that happens. Yeah theres too many lore questions unanswered for dst to be over any time soon. Charlie isn’t in control over her own emotions though, she’s being “Possessed” by something otherworldly (as can be seen in the games main start up screen where she wigs out between wanting things to be bright & pretty or dark and spooky before both her light side & dark side combine to met a stable middle ground of Pretty but also Spooky. If I was allowed to write the story for this game (and you guys better thank god that I’m not..) I would make the one character everyone hates on most and claims that after 4 reworks is still bad to play be the one that ends it all.. I’m talking about Winona, she came to the constant looking to find her lost little sister, So I would totally make some very sad tear jerk ending where she is able to save Charlie defeat the main bad guy, get everyone else back home to their appropriate time lines: and seal off the constant forever But at the cost of being stuck there with no way out. But you guys as usual will continue to overlook her no matter how great she was. Notecja Posted January 6, 2022 Share Posted January 6, 2022 I think way to end DST is to Tencent forcing on Klei some bad updates, community would get mad, with time losing players, then Klei would have to lost too much money, like enough to close studio. Not sure what steam does with games without developers, but Tencent could move dst database to Wegame or smth like that... Guess at this point not many people from any other places would like to play that game anymore...
