Here is a different take on Wicker's powers:

What if it's not the books themselves that contain her power but the words within them? 

What if she could harness the power of words depending on what she writes on. She would either control the whole constant...

Or become a vandal that defaces nature with graffiti.

Beginner's Entomology: 2 papyrus + 1 spider gland + 1 stinger + 1 mosquito sack

Tames all spiders, bees, mosquitos, larvae and fruit flies in radius for X minutes. I think it needs the annoying mosquito sack component to prevent her from stealing Webber's spider civil war powers too much but idk. Can tame grumble bees and larvae but not Bee Queen and Dragonfly.

Currents Worldwide: 2 papyrus + 2 moon rock + 1 ice

Causes large waves to spawn in an outward circle from Wickerbottom that travel for X distance. These waves have effects similar to the Strident Trident, breaking rocks, throwing fish into the air, and doing a decent amount of damage. Cannot be read if there is no water near Wicker.

Identifying Prints: 2 papyrus + 1 manure + 3 beefalo wool

Spawns the first print of an animal hunt directly beneath Wicker.

Speculation on Speciation: 2 papyrus + ??? (Thulecite maybe? This one seems strong)

Turns nearby THINGS into one of their other forms randomly if applicable. For example, spiders will turn into a random spider variant. Hounds turn into a random hound variant (horror hounds included). Mobs with lunar versions swap (including carrots and lightbulbs), the fish swimming in the ocean randomly change, birds to different colored birds, berries to juicy berries, mushrooms and mushtrees to others, etc. etc. Basically similar to the Lunar Experiment in the Mad Science tab but much more versatile. The line might have to be drawn somewhere like converting trees/logs to treeguards/living logs... but yeah. If we're going crazy bosses could even turn into Winter's Feast versions. 

Medicinal Manual: 2 papyrus + 4 nightmare fuel + 1 red gem

Affects all players in a radius similar to Wortox dropping souls, and heals for X health. Additionally, revives ALL dead players in said radius with no health penalty. The recipe is purposefully similar to the life giving amulet, however this book CANNOT be haunted to activate. 

Fascinating Fungi: 2 papyrus + 1 red mushroom + 1 green mushroom + 1 blue mushroom

Causes mushtrees specific to the current season and random mushrooms and to sprout from the ground. These would be for single time harvest to avoid Wicker creating huge fields of reliable blue mushrooms, but the trees could be left to spawn spores or for decoration. If used on grotto turf or on lunar island turf then all mushrooms would be the lunar kind. Maybe needs tweaked recipe because using the book effectively returns the ingredients at higher quantities... maybe it needs some rot or guano or something. 

Effects of Deforestation: 2 papyrus + 1 Luxury Axe

Causes all choppable things in X radius (including poison birchnut trees and sporecaps) to slowly take chopping "damage" until they are felled.
