It would be really nice to have this in-game, too. I like connecting all my platforms together to minimise the number of loaders/unloaders I need. However, in late game I am using exclusively petroleum and hydrogen engines, which are 7 tiles wide, and leave no space to build ladders without disconnecting platforms. I tried connecting a number of loaders to two platforms, but my loaders simply stopped working for one of the platforms. Have you tried deconstructing and reconstructing the faulty platforms? It usually fixes the issue for me. I have been running a combination of 10 loaders/unloaders for 8 platforms all connected together, and it works fine. I did have to rebuild some of the platforms after creating new rockets though, but not every platform had that bug happen. I think that happens when you build the loaders before the platforms. Rebuilding the innermost loader fixes this for me.
