Rad/Gray is how much gets absorbed by matter, which varies based on the kind of matter (so skin and blood are different in how radiation penetrates). Sievert is a step further in telling you the actual likely health effects, and takes into account different tissue response. What ONI uses is closest to Roentgen in the overlay, and Sievert in the duplicant status. Calling them rads is a kind of compromise. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
