It reskins both ends, aswell as showing up on the map. This makes them great for wormhole markers as there isn't many other ways to visually distinct them without somethings like the moon rock orbs or various structures. It lies within the second tier of magic (i.e. Shadow Manipulator tier) and requires 3 living logs and 6 dark petals. It is infinate use and reskins any item with any skin you already have.
