What you guys thinks about Warly?

Recommended Posts

At this point I see Warly as almost flawless kolephant trunks not being part of a crockpot recipe is his only flaw to me.

By the way.......

Spoiler

For those who struggle with variety remember that monster tarts give a sizable amount of hunger as well and that as a portable crockpot user finding healing dishes is easier on the go maybe even consider carrying a sea fishing rod with you for fish and lobsters when traveling. Something people tend to forget is that the crockpot opens up options others wouldn't consider.

The main a rule I follow for Warly's hunger thing in the early game, and useful for people trying him for the first time, is simple:

DON'T EAT UNTIL YOU ARE STARVING, then fill your hunger metter all at once with meaty stews, meatballs, or whatever. By the time you are starving, you can do it again.

Once you have access to bundling wraps (or gift wraps if you are in Winter's Feast), then you can mass produce stuff and you are done.

Once you get the rythm with him, it's hard to go back to other characters and give up on spicy goat jelly.

I don't see Warly as the cook that has to feed the team all the time, but the cook that BUFFS the team right before bossfights. Also the glowberry dish is nuts.

I also use honey poultices for healing.

The one thing I would DEFINITELY change if given the chance is seasoning salt, because it's basically a non-existent item with how underwhelming its effect is.

His chef pouch is also basically nonexistent. It's very small and barely even extends the life of food. The only time I've ever seen it be used is once or twice on Klei servers back when they weren't spawning surface clockworks where they were used as replacement ice boxes that just sat on the floor to slightly elongate the time the food can last. Now that Klei servers are spawning clockworks again no one makes it.
