Fishing Journal

This may have been suggested before, but I think it would be neat to add a compendium entry and in-game item for listing baits, lures, fishes and the ideal conditions for catching them.

The fishing journal would feature a discovery/progression system, similar to the cookbook & plant registry, where new entries for baits and lures are added after their crafting and usage (in their separate tabs, like 'fertilizers' in the plant registry), while entries for fishes are added by catching them using the different baits/lures and during different seasons.

To make the fishing experience more enjoyable for beginners, the fishing journal could also list the 'inefficient methods' of fishing if the player attempts it first, for example: if a player manages to hook a Mudfish using a seed and succeeds or fails to catch it, then an entry would be added on the Mudfish reading seeds as non-prefered bait. Another way it could work would be that 'inefficient method' entries are added after attempting to fish inefficiently for a set period of time.

Of course, the fishing journal would feature your personal biggest fishes caught and the recipe for the in-game item could be something as simple as 1x Papyrus + 1x Freshwater Fish.

She doesn't need specific type or weight.

Any type of fish will do, as long as it's relatively heavy for the type of fish it is.

Knowing what heavy fish you've caught before would tell you absolutely nothing on how to please Pearl, since a Runty Guppy is just as likely to be heavy enough as a Dandy Lionfish is.
