About Sal's Dreams

Whenever you go to sleep in Sal's campaign, you get a special piece of dialogue referring to a dream Sal had. All of them are very interesting and a joy to read, but today I found a stand-out:

So! Sal was friend with our favourite revolution leader. Imagine them meeting up in Grout Bog again.

Also- does anyone know if some dreams are more common than others? I always seem to get the one of Kashio with gold teeth and the one about grime under Sal's fingernails. Also also- Are dreams linked to specific days? I know you always get the knife under the pillow one on day 1, but I also seem to get the fingernail one in day 2 very consistently.

Sorry in advance for creating an entire topic dedicated to a couple of lines of flavour text.

They had more dreams, early into the game's life. They were cut due to how wordy they were as they just gave exposition and backstory. I remember one about a foreman and sal always keeping a bit of jerky in her pocket. If they never bring them back, maybe someone can find the vestigial flavour text somewhere in the game.

Oh man this is super cool. I wonder if Kalandra would've even known what happened to Sal when she was sold to the Derricks? Did she know what happened or did Sal just sorta disappear one day and she thinks she was killed or something? What a rad emotional reunion it'd bee to see them meet again!

Oh?? The one about the jerky isn't in the game anymore? I really like those dreams, they give so many important informations, especially for Sal

The jerky one's still there; I've seen it quite a few times myself.

        * Kashio always seemed larger than life, and while you sleep you feel the shadow of her influence pressing down on you.

        * Your folks used to talk about freedom like it was a town—one you could move to, with enough money for the road. Now you're not so sure.

        * You were never afraid of beasts, even when the foreman would threaten to sic them on you. You learned to keep a bit of spare jerky in your pocket—and how to look for an opportunity.

        * Sleep comes slow and sluggish, like tar. But you sink into it all the same.

        * The moonlight cuts through the window like the glint of a knife, as if you don't get enough of that during the day.

They also never did rook's dream. So he just got the default one where he hits the pillow like a piece of brick.

It doesn't surprise me that Sal and Prindo were pals. Their parents worked together in the first notable uprising in the Bog. Fellemo explains this to Rook if you meet him in the bar.

It's interesting that players can learn more about other characters across campaigns. Also learned in Rook's campaign what Kashio's connection with the Spark Barons was, and how she got out of indentured labour. It's nice to have the feeling that things are far from isolated, like Grout Bog and Murder Bay are physically near one another like towns in a rural county. Solid worldbuilding once again.
