Hey Grifters,

Today was a day of fixes. We're getting a heck of a lot more f8s than a week ago, so we're doing our best to keep up! We might end up hotfixing experimental into release early next week once we're certain our fixes aren't actually bigger bugs in disguise.

  • fix question not disappearing in rook intro
  • fix double dialog in the expedition if you kill all of the workers
  • fix speaker when killing some bandits but not others in handler_admiralty_clear_bandit_cave.lua
  • Fixed description of Final Favor upgrade
  • Fixed typo in Trauma description
  • Pruned is now marked as a debuff
  • Bogger Cultivator now only heals if an ally is missing health
  • Fixed bug where the cards from Smith's Flask were showing an XP track
  • beguile highlights its modified values
  • Anchor now uses the POWER_LOSS condition
  • Readded delta to the DELTA_ACTION_COUNT event and modified all instances where the Event is listened to
  • Fixed bug where Raw Power and Obliterate weren't costing health
  • Fixed jargon upgrade descriptions
  • Clarified description of Worn out
  • Fixed bug where Warp Vial wouldn't retain the FREEBIE flag between warping
  • make the rook gate negotiation quicker (it's there to introduce coin flips and give you a card draw, not to eat your resolve)
  • fix inconsistent wording on impatience
  • mark limited time oppos on the map with a special tooltip
  • Fixed bug where Charged Barrage wasn't correctly removing Overcharge
  • Fix graft tooltip disappearing after looking at certain grafts.
  • don't give coward card if you are in an isolated fight or a fight vs animals
  • Kickoff is now triggered on HAND_DRAWN instead of BEGIN_TURN to prevent composure from gambling from being removed
  • Impulse Jack now correctly only triggers on the first turn
  • Fixed bug where Double Duty and Stutter could cause an infinite loop of Stutters
  • Fixed bug where Warp Vial could be drawn without having changed to have an effect
  • Fixed bug where composure from the first flip of Rook's coin would be removed immediately
  • add charge keyword to shovel
  • remove the "They owed me money" quip
  • Fixed bug where Topor Fiend would crash if you had no upgradable cards
  • Added nil-check to Non Sequitur to prevent crashes with cards that have no deck (relevant for appropriator preview)
  • Fix typos!
  • fix typo in def that would crash the bar fight sometimes
  • Fixed the bug where it wasn't possible to cancel a card with right-click in combat/negotiation
  • fix missing quest stage completion in the_best_defense

Masochist and the jake smuggler bane will cause an infinite loop: damage taken from anything will cause temporary power(a debuff), triggering the bane and take another 2 damage. Repeat the above process, and then you get insta-nuked.

Also, when you win and die due to the above nonbo, you don't die. You somehow lived at 0hp, which then you can go to the bartender to heal up.

Smith was secretly Cthulhu all along.

Oh! How does the new version  work?

No more insulted inception argument. Its the usual thing of taking core resolve to 0. The Insulted cards were massively changed to expend all non-Hostile cards in your hand and turn them into Dominance. Very good for Hostile Decks, and for Diplomacy decks its functionally the same as an Intimidation where the Insulted cards are dead draws.

That’s a good change, I think. It makes provoke harder overall, and way less awkward than the way it used to be for diplomacy decks. The core idea of stacking an argument count before the negotiation ends wasn’t bad though, I hope it gets reused somewhere.
