Gadzometer
Hi All, I know I am late to the party but I am loving this game. So I have been have a bit issue in several games now. I have water appearing all over my floors and pouring through my base. It is almost like a burst pipe or something. Everything was fine. I had short granite pipes in some areas feeding toilets etc. Then I took these out and created a long snaking pipe made of sedimentary rock through the whole base for cooling. I then take my water from this pipe as needed. After changing from the old pipe system there was some water which spilled from the old pipes which I mopped up. Every now and then water suddenly starts appearing on floors. heaps of it. On multiple floors. Basically this sends me into a death spiral because the Dupes keep needing to mop up taking them from other tasks or they just have to live in constant puddles. 1. I can't see any red damage on the pipes or floor. 2. There isn't any ice on the floor before or after 3. The temperature is pretty consistent so no phase changes in pipes. 4. There are no reservoirs of water adjacent to the floor or walls on either side. Any help would be appreciated. It is driving me nuts? Cheers. Derringer
I've seen random water appear when blocks of ice small enough to melt in transit are carried around. Even worse is snow. I do not see any obvious flaws in this design here. Are dupes carrying ice or snow somewhere in that area? They drop everything when their break starts and the dropped stuff is not marked for sweeping anymore afterwards. One of the larger annoyances in this game. I wonder if the pipes passing through planter tiles might be doing it? Or maybe the wheezewarts on the corners? Do you have any mods running? Does it happen at 'normal' play or only on turbo speeds? Once you get it cleaned up, where does it first appear? The Water starts near the right hand side of the image. On the floor, not on the Wheezeworts. No mods. Normal play. Sometime I start cleaning and it just keeps coming. 2 hours ago, Gurgel said: Same here. Even worse is snow. I do not see any obvious flaws in this design here. I will try and create a storage container for all snow and ice in a catchment area and put it on priority 9. Ozcuraz
Are there any ice/snow in the storage bins on Printer Pod's floor and the above one? KittenIsAGeek
Your air pressure appears to be really really low. I'm curious if maybe that's affecting things. I've had some strange things occur with low air pressure, particularly where temperatures were concerned. Something that generated heat would get REALLY hot, while other things, like wheezewarts, would get REALLY cold. In both cases, the temperatures were only fleetingly aberrant, but would still cause odd anomalies to occur. For example, the spontaneous creation of matter. Such as large pools of water spilling over the floor out of nowhere. I could also be wrong -- the screenshot was taken during the night cycle, so its difficult to tell for sure. Gurgel
Come to think of it, I have had some mysterious appearances of clean water in my current base as well. The pwater I found I could trace back to a cleaning system that unexpectedly did run out of Regolith while I was not looking (Dupes peeing everywhere! Party time!), but I did not find a source for the clean water and it happened several times. Now, it is entirely possible I overlooked some ice or snow somewhere, but I think if this happens to other people now, there may be some new bug. Sasza22
Most of the time i find water randomly around my base is when i use ice fans. Dupes keep picking small amounts of ice and it melts while being carried. Are you carrying any ice around? Or maybe you are using ice fans. Rhogar
If you destroy a full pipe it will spill it's contents out on the ground.
