D Risque
Its been awhile since I did anything with pufts and their morphs, but when did Prince Pufts start pooping oxylite? I just watch this little guy poop some out, but I thought only Dense pufts do that. Did they change things around? meepmoop
the princes poop everything depending on what they breath. oxygen to oxylite, po into slime and chlorine into bleach stones. Their production is much smaller then the 'specialized' pufts. PhailRaptor
It was a change made to make it easier to keep your Puft stables producing the eggs you actually want them producing. Prior, if you wanted to keep your Dense Pufts producing Dense eggs, you had to put some source of P-O2 into your Puft stable, in order to keep a Puft Prince from starving to death in there. Same thing for Squeaky Pufts in Chlorine. It was just super problematic trying to engineer proper systems. So it was reworked to eat anything that any Puft can eat, for simplicity. Neotuck
I always found puft ranching to be more trouble than they are worth. Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/116209-prince-pufts-and-oxylite/#findComment-1313179 Share on other sites

It's definitely difficult to maintain a population of the desired pufts. Less than one third of the eggs are good, and the rest end up being junk. That's a lot of junk eggs! If there was a better way to push the odds towards the desired egg types, it wouldn't be so harsh. That and the only real end game benefit of long term puft/squeaky puft ranching is for mushroom wrap production. I just find it easier to set up pepper bread and/or spicy tofu production which is better quality food anyways Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/116209-prince-pufts-and-oxylite/#findComment-1313190 Share on other sites
