calibayzone
A typical 10kkm rocket world: Current mass: 128000t Maximum mass: 128000t Minimum mass:127988t Replenishment: 166.7 kg/cycle. I assume that we aren't allowed to go below 127988t? That the mass available is really only 12t, and the other 127988t are only decoration? That would make sense for balance. If we run this 12t dry will the rockets return mostly empty? Will running the 12t dry prevent replenishment? That would be bad. Moah
Hi, all asteroids replenish their resources at a certain speed so they will never run empty. When you select a target on your rocket you can see on the selected command capsule how many resources are left. If there is less mass available on the asteroid than your cargo bay can hold you get what is available and the remaining storage keeps empty. br Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/112479-space-destination-mass-mechanics/#findComment-1268996 Share on other sites
StarSquid
That seems right. The only other way I could see them doing it would be that a given mission can harvest as much as it can hold, but the destination is then completely locked until the mass is greater than the minimum Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/112479-space-destination-mass-mechanics/#findComment-1269110 Share on other sites
0xFADE
The command capsule lists how much mass the target body has available. The information is so clean I wonder why they don’t just include that derived information in the other map screen. Because Klei seems to really like informational ambiguity (just look at DS), but unfortunately that design philosophy is just downright annoying in builder games like ONI. fishoutofwater
I have 3 cargo bay with 10k km destination, checked my command capsule that resource available has reached 3000kg, so launch, but come back with 50% each cargo, anyone know why? current mas is 127988 t Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/112479-space-destination-mass-mechanics/#findComment-1270381 Share on other sites
