Greetings All, 

 

having played the beta for Launch Update for a while i had the self planting to do passive farming very nice,  been trying a few things to propagate Arbor Acorn Seeds but unless a pip decide to plant it, seem nothing will happen, been trying on LU-357226 but to no avail, still if the pip take them they wont plant it but will drop it elsewhere, i try making a container then dropping the seed on the ground and waiting but nothing happened, tried on dirt, aluminium ore, and igneous rocks. i have been running trial on 10 cycle basis, atmosphere at ~500, 21.5 'C

I am at a point wondering if it is possible or was it removed during the beta?

Anyone achieve results with Arbor Acorn Seeds? any suggestion or recommendation

Are you sure you have open spots near the seed that adhere to the rules mentioned in that thread?

Never increase in number without dupe interaction, planting their seeds in farm/hydroponic tile.

Every plant with lifecycle except arbor tree have seed drop chance on harvest. But there are some alternative ways to get more seeds, like care packages and planets.

I meant wild plants though if we wanted to have more parks.

okai so if i have properly understand the logic, it is because i have a farm below that the pip wont do any planting the the space i allocated for them?

I had a bug with the Critter Drop off : the Pip would just idle where it got dropped. Reloaded game and he started moving again and he's been planting seeds frequently on different tiles including Aluminium ore (I gather seeds in compactor then manually drop - not sure its needed - it works)

I recommend try to get pips or pip eggs from care package for creating parks.

yes. You can put farm later after pips planting wild plants. And if you want to plant them in certain order and location, you can close other valid spots with tile/ladder.
