Lets appreciate old stuff is gettimg looked at

Recommended Posts

The devs are making changes i would never think they would make at this point. Many of the old things that we thought are in the game forever are getting adressed. Dupes entombing themseves randomly - fixed. Piping systems working weird - getting worked on. Static outputs - (ok lets not talk about them in this thread).

Many of the community ideas got implemented recently. I saw salt water along with table salt suggestions long ago but never thought it would make it in. Agressive critters are back (in a quite reasonable fashoin imo as well). I saw people suggesting rust (a bit different but there`s room to work with it now). Trees and lumber were widely suggested too. I even saw suggestions about making a giant statue and guess what we got.

I never before saw an update containing so many community requested features. Yes the stuff is still buggy and unbalanced so it`s maybe premature to make this thread but i just wanted to stop for a minute and appreciate the hard work the devs had done to make us happy.

*A wild new thread appears*

Me thinking : What a strange title. That might be some passive agressive way to adress the water sieve little thingy of the moment.

*Actual reading*

Me exclaiming : oh boy what a damn good surprise

Thanks for this thread :distracted:

Is that why they end up in really wired places now frequently? I am not sure that this is an improvement.

But basically, I agree. They are trying hard to get the good suggestions and make them work. I just have the impression they have lost the overview over the whole a bit with all these changes.

Will be interesting to see what else will be changed in this final testing phase before the release.

  • Infinite gas / liquid storage
  • Door Pumps
  • Deconstructible POIs
  • Sinks transferring germs from germy water

Some of those have the chance to generate more heat here on the forums than that other change, which may not be named.

HI @Gurgel. Maybe a nice thread on this one is warranted.  I find my dupes now get trapped quite often above where they are digging. However, now I don't notice it till they need to pee, or I happen to see the "idle" warning.  I wonder how many others are seeing this issue.  Sounds like a topic worth discussing.  You want to start this one?

Hahaha, that one would be a killer.  Or getting scalded if the shower uses hot water ;)

Not really. I think I have offended enough people for one day. But I have the same observation. The last few bases I even had to put a "waste pump" under the suit checkpoint because dupes had "full" suits so often. Still would like to see the glass-bubble half-filled with "liquid" on that one ;)

I started a poll, where people can add feedback. You helped add insight into the discussion today, so thanks for your words and thoughts. I know it can be tiring. Thank you again.
