MacTusk Base Too Close Together?

I loaded in my game and did a little more exploring, and found myself surrounded by four different MacTusk's all trying to hunt me down. I drew on my map where the bases are located:

Are you serious? I'm not really complaining about it balance-wise, a little extra difficulty is fine with me, but it makes MacTusk seem a little silly when bases are walking distance from eachother. Am I the only one who thinks that there should be more than one so you run into him more, but significantly further apart so you don't run into two at once? It makes him a bit silly

I actually can't find MacTusk. Searched most of the map, still nothing. I want dat tusk man. Random generation, huh.

For me they spawn the camps near all the wormholes, on 2 worlds this has been the case.Sometimes random doesn't seem so random heh.

Cluster groupings is actually a sign of randomness. If everything was evenly spaced, it would not be random. I have yet to find one myself - been through two winters (one in world 1, one in world 2). Are they like hounds in that they increase in appearance the longer you have survived?

I want to see them so much but i can't find them at all and my map only have one small road and no pig king
