Daxterr
There should be a way to use or get rid of every single resource. Most importantly, I have 20 ( !) Storage bins full of abyssalite and mafic rock, and nothing to use them on. Please give us a practical way to get rid of these things, Klei! Yannick Vachon
Mafic Rock can be used as a filtration medium (to replace sand where it is used). So you can convert an unlimited amount of polluted water to water and purify polluted oxygen. For abyssalite, there is one recipe at the end of the research tree that use it (an ultimate form of isolation). For balm lilly, you can transform them in drugs in the apothecary or compost them for dirt production. Not sure but I think some hatches also can eat them. Either way, there are ways of using them right now. Daxterr
There is NO way I'm gonna use all my abyssalite with that recipe. I will litteraly be at it for years. I said practical for a reason. Also I think you've got mafic rock and regolith mixed up, sir! Also, I'm almost certain you can't compost balm Lilly flowers. Yannick Vachon
Oups, you are right with the mafic rock. Still, for mafic rock, it is a great material to insulate tiles as well for when you do not have insulation material (or if you do not want to spend hours on the recipe, as you said). In big bases, I almost always ends up doing insulation with mafic rocks. It is better than igneous rocks. Sasza22
Mafic can be used for building stuff. There isn`t as much of it either. It shouldn`t be a problem. Abyssalite and balm lillies are a different problem. As for now there is only one recipie for each and it`s not possible to use it all up (not to mention you can get abyssalite from space as well). In theory it`s posible to melt abyssalite (but there`s no material that can sustain the temperature for long enough without melting). For balm lillies i wish sage hatches could eat those but for now you can`t do anything with them. Rainbowdesign
I have now a recipe to convert mafic rock to iron and sand in my mod. For balm lili and Abyssalite just suggest me a good recipe Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/103197-need-way-to-get-rid-of-abyssalite-balm-lilly-flowers-mafic-rock-and-more/#findComment-1158693 Share on other sites

Balm lilly should be eaten by sage hatches or compostable. While it`s (almost) impossible to do with debris without melting everything around it could be doable in a smelter since it can smelt wolframite into tungsten already. It was reportedly the most thermally insulating material ever found. Maybe it melts into tungsten because also some dev has read that, or maybe just because it has the highest melting point, dunno. Can't provide any sources nor proof. Rainbowdesign
abyssalite to tungsten sounds a bit overpowered. Either the recipe takes very long or there needs to be an other source or a byproduct. For sagehatches eating balm lili : i added it now will be in the next version. cpy
Metal refinery with 2x heat of steel and this should keep you on your toes for converting abbysalite into tungsten. Maybe 1 balm lily flower to 10-100g of dirt in compost? Im not sure which one. 1Kg would be OP and 10g would probably be just too low. D.L.S.
Ok it make sense why tungsten. But tungsten suppose to be relatively rare. Maybe some other use for abyssalite as consumable. Guest
Why not simply an abyssalite to sand recipe for the granulator? Maybe some sort of cooling machine.
