Will we have to make a new world?

I don't think theres any new up-on world generation scructures or items it seems like all the new items and structures generate on winter. and when i update and use a new world will i have to will winter be on day 30 or in the next 30 days?

Mactusk n' son (sp?) will not spawn in an old world (needs the igloo), everything else should though. And I believe winter will start thirty days after whatever day your on in your old world.

Actually I thought the igloos spawn in upon winter, and are just not there in the spring and summer.

Yes you can.

In the stream riptide mentioned building a camp next to something like the base of an igloo (this was before winter started). And Kevin said in a post that igloos are generated when you make a new world.

From my understanding you only need to re-generate a new world. Which you do when you use the portal. So I do not think you need a new save file, rather pack up your stuff that you want and world jump.
