Oni Noob
I thought this day would never come but I really wish I have hydrogen vent for my rockets :(.. Whats your strategy in creating hydrogen? Whats your strategy in creating hydrogen? A hydrogen vent produce less than an electrolyser running full time. It's really not that great. To produce hydrogen the only solution I see is to put down more electrolysers and vent the oxygen into space or liquify it to store it if you don't need it now. How would you store liquid oxygen without it turning into gas again? There are also other threads showing how to do it. ruhrohraggy
Yeap. Typical hydrogen vent outputs somewhere between 90-120 g/s hydrogen, which is around 30-60 g/s for prolonged average. If you get a decent water or cool slush instead, they typically output around 2 kg/s of water for prolonged average. This would run 2x electrolyzers for a constant / averaged 224 g/s hydrogen. Which is about 3-4x the amount of the hydrogen vent. If you're feeling dirty, you can build infinite gas storage. Surplus o2 4tw. Some people think it's lame / cheating, but that's fine.... To each their own. As Christophlette suggested, you could liquify the o2 for use as oxidizer, vent it into space, or make a bazillion storage tanks.... I just like the look and function of the infinite-gas sorting tower over a bazillion storage tanks. It's not that I couldn't afford them or anything... ChickenMadness
Hydrogen vents are useless fam. Add them to your useless geyser list lol. Literally only the metal volcanoes and water geysers are useful (also nat gas but I find them annoying and unreliable). The rest of them have really tiny outputs. Liquid reservoir in a vacuum on top of mesh or airflow tiles works best, perfect insulation Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/101571-hydrogen-vent/#findComment-1140836 Share on other sites
