  6. Hello hunters! Today we’re launching the Powers-A-Plenty Update! Available on both Steam and Nintendo Switch 2, This update aims to add variety to hunts by expanding the pool of powers and putting more of an emphasis on powers that change how you interact with the world instead of simply boosting the power of your hunter. Powers-A-Plenty also adds an entirely new type of power: The “Weapon Power”. Weapon powers aim to change how you play for the remainder of the hunt by doing things like tweaking the core rules of your weapon’s move set, adding new attacks, or changing how existing attacks behave. In addition to all of the tweaks to the powers in the game, we’ve also been fixing bugs and implementing QoL suggestions that we’ve seen reported or suggested. We've also updated localization support for Russian and Castilian Spanish. More details The next (and final) content update will be larger than this one and focuses primarily on filling out the endgame with content that we've teased in the in-game cutscenes. We currently expect to release a beta for that update in September/ October. As always, thank you all for playing and continuing to provide your feedback and suggestions! We hope you’ll try out the beta and let us know what you think of the new powers to help shape this and future updates! More details How to play Close Rotwood if it is running. In Steam, click on Library > Games. Scroll down to Rotwood. Right click, select Properties. Go to the Betas tab. In the dropdown, select the 'publicbeta' branch. (You may need to restart Steam to see this branch) In that same properties window, go to the Installed Files tab. Click Verify integrity of game files. Your game will now be updated to the beta branch. Save files The beta branch uses a completely separate save file, due to its experimental nature. The beta branch is to gather feedback and ensure stability before release to the live game. If you were to copy over your existing savefile, it would work, but it is strongly recommended to store a backup of your save file if you did so. We are not treating this branch as a live branch, so we will not be taking extra precautions to support moving your save file back to the live branch.
  11. The only thing that increases your chance to get a mirage pattern drop is the difficulty level of the hunt you are doing. For the shorter hunts, completing locations under the effects of a teffra anomaly will increase the drop chance of a pattern. For boss lair hunts, doing the highest frenzy level that you can will increase the chances even further. Also, each time a pattern does not drop, your chances to get a pattern drop increases until the next time a pattern drops. Mirage patterns can only drop from the final boss of a hunt (so the minibosses in boss rot lairs will not drop patterns).
  12. @Black Key Thanks for the video, it was really helpful! The fix for the first issue you describe went out in today's patch (719485), let me know if you're still seeing it. For the second issue with juggling, this is definitely a bug. What is happening is the act of catching a striker actually counts as an attack finishing under the hood. Because of this, if a skill has been queued up before the striker is caught, catching the striker will consume the queued skill. We'll work on fixing this bug, but in the meantime you can get around this by not pressing the skill queue button until after you've caught the previous striker.
  13. Fixes: Fixed a number of crashes related to players disconnecting mid-action. The power "Stop Loss" no longer ticks down during special encounter rooms. The "Add Multiple" modifier for the seed grinding screen will now work properly when playing with a controller. Fixed a bug that prevented queuing up skills when attacking out of a dodge when using the striker. Fixed an issue where a combination of cold powers could create an infinite loop of damage under the right circumstances. Fixed a soft lock that could happen when the player was killed while using certain weapon skills. Fixed some crashes and visual issues related to using certain weapon skills near the farming plots in town. The Ribbat Mirage was showing the wrong art, this has been resolved. Changes: The power "Cold Wave" now applies cold around the target's location instead of the player's location. View full update
