TheExceed
I would love to see new sensors that can be connected over a distance. Like I want to run a pump of only if a part of water across the map is low. Going that distance with refined metal is not likely. Have it get it's own research tier and require electrical engineer and cost a bit of refined metal and a microchip. On the topic of microchips. Their power increase should be decreased but make it an accumulated permanent buff. Change the recipe a bit to require a bit of gold and a bit of iron and a bit of copper. Makes keeping copper until late a good idea. Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/89386-long-range-wireless-sensor/ Share on other sites
Gabrysiek
Too OP. You don't need to mess with wire spaghetti, you can just use wireless sensor and don't give a crap about wiring. Or give it a limited set of frequencies so they can't be spammed everywhere. crypticorb
A similar idea: Rather than a wireless sensor of different types, such as a wireless atmo switch, why not have a wireless connector. I can think of tons of useful applications for this. There are numerous times I have a trigger for a pump or shutoff valve that is in the base, but the pump itself is half the map away, requiring lengthy automation cable runs. One example use is a having wireless connector A next to a thermo switch in the base, triggering a pump next to connector B in the cold biome next to my A.E.T.N. to supply some coolant into the base. And again, make the crafting difficult/complicated and make it real end game like most automation. I work to made a wifi transmettor for sensors in nuclear plant, so i can just say a big YES for that Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/89386-long-range-wireless-sensor/#findComment-1022578 Share on other sites
