  • Branch: Preview Branch Version: Windows Dupe

Every 10-20 minutes I get a game crash with the logs reading:

Potential infinite transition loop detected in state machine: FallMonitor(root.entombed.recovering)
Goto stack:

root.entombed.recovering
root.standing
root.entombed.recovering
root.standing
[repeated]

Besieged Spaceprison.sav

Steps to Reproduce

I'm not sure what in particular triggers it, it just happens a lot.

User Feedback

I have the same problem.  Usually happens within about 30 seconds on this save.  Happened 4 times in a row.

I'm on the beta version of Spaced Out.  EX156-447892. No MODs.

Crash is specifically being caused by constructing a ventilation duct on planet three.  (Oil planet.  Swamp start)

Same here,

The first 5 times I figured out, that it happened when i used pipes. Now I can play 1-5 cycles and it happens random (about 20-30 times now) all the time (perhaps when dupes building some specific pipes?!). I really would like to play further this savegame, I am now nearly at 1000 cycles.

+1 for this bug.

Latest unstable DLC build (With mods! Haven't disabled them for testing as it would break the save anyway.)

Happens every cycle or two into a 120 cycle save, seemingly random.

In regards to the reports regarding it being related to pipes; my dupes currently aren't building any liquid pipes, they are however building heavy-duty cables, automation cables and gas pipes.

Mod list in-case there's a common one among those with the bugs -

  • GasOverlay
  • Stock Bug Fix
  • Clean Drop
  • AI Improvements
  • Make Dirt
  • Public Luxury Beds
  • Public Cots
  • No Splash Screen
  • [Vanilla + DLC] Rooms Expanded
  • Reroll Duplicants重新选人Printing POD打印舱
  • Fast Save
  • Settings Change Tool
  • Falling Sand
  • Efficient Supply
  • Airlock Door (Thought it may have been this mod, however I haven't been able to reproduce it)
  • Smart Pumps
  • Research Queue
  • Build Over Plants
  • Mod Updater
  • Show Building Ranges
  • Build Straight Up
  • Biological Vats
  • Better Multitool Animations
  • Smart Egg Incubator
  • Never Flood Critter Drop-Off

Didn't realise I had that many mods until I listed them!

I don't have this mod installed and I have the same problem, so it's not the mod.

Same. Although, I was getting the bug when my dupes were trying to construct a ventilation duct while standing on or constructing through a powered door.  So it may be the vanilla mechanics of the airlock mod that is crashing it for you

Wow - where are you getting all of those mods compatible with the DLC?  I only see like 5 on the workshop

Changed Status to Dupe

No rover was involved in my case.  There was a dupe building by moving through a horizontal door.  I'm hoping the fix for r28199 fixes it for me.

Same - I don't have any active rovers on any base, and the ones that are inactive are in places where no door can hit them. One was next to a door, so I'll move that and see if it fixes things.

Edit: I locked the door near him and 30 seconds later it still crashed

Noted. I'm still looking into the issue to have a more concrete fix to catch stuff like this so it's being worked on!
