Then when you get ready to use it, seal it off and put a pump at the bottom for the heavy gasses, and a pump at the top for hydrogen (or ignore it), and pump until there's only O2 left.  A deodorizer or two in the area will remove enough PO2 to kill off any remaining germs.  Then build a new exo dock, get a piece of paper and scoop that rat's ass onto it and push it outside your shiny new basement.

[ETA] Again, germs really aren't very dangerous at all with default settings.  People on the forum can seem paranoid, but only because they play on ridiculous difficulty levels.

Then don't do it.  There's nothing the dupes can't do in their suits.

Here's my current minibase: just the essentials with suits leading to literally everything else.  The nook at the bottom is all you need to evacuate waste gasses.
