confused: How do I get data banks?

Hi, 

I thought Data Banks are generated in the Telescope - but this does not produce them in my game. Also, I thought the generation requires Glas, but the telescope does not consume or demand glas. any hints?

First, you're on the preview build, correct?

If yes, then the way Space Age research works was just changed.  The Telescope no longer generates research.  Rockets fitted with Research Modules do.  Upon returning from a mission, the Research Modules drop Data Banks.

The Telescope also does not require Glass.  It is built from Glass, but does not consume it.  It requires Oxygen.

In fact, you only need raw metal or steel to build it in the last patch :

Thanks for the tips about the glass consumption, I didn't notice that.

Note if you have an old save with a telescope charged with glass it will consume it.
