Auto Sweeper picking up tiny amounts

Hi community,

i tried today the first time to use the auto sweeper in my kitchen. But it only takes tiny amounts of 29mcg. Could someone pls help me, what did i wrong?

This is a bug in the game. To "fix" it you have to unassign the food in question from your fridge and then just re-assign it.

I think it happens when a dupe reserves the item or part of it.

I've seen it happen with dupes: when one dupe picks up mcg amounts of something, it is usually followed by some other dupe picking up the whole item.

This bug appears in 1-2 cycles on any heavy loaded  auto-sweeper

I use weight plates to prevent that from happening and keep my kitchen sterile

how exactly do u use weight plates?

A floor made of weight plates set to a minimum value you wanna sweep (like 1kg)

(You can run one automation wire thru all weight plates directly into the sweeper)

how it helps, if _any_ heavy loaded auto sweeper will bug in 1-2 cycle and start loading tiny quantities?

If no tile inside your kitchen contains at least 1kg of food your sweeper will not bother with it.

I assume all cooking ingredients are forbidden for dupes to consume, so the only remaining problem would be partially assigned cooked food which will drop on the floor

forget about kitchen.

Problem is: any auto sweeper taking and unloading goods for 1-2 cycles will bug and take only small quantities of items. E.g. 428 mg instead of 1000 kg

Like in the kitchen you need to prevent some conditions to keep your sweeper working at full efficiency.

Prevent overloaded storage compactors or conveyor loaders

But if nothing is overloaded, I wouldn´t know any case except some partially allocated food where you would end up with such small quantitites and no real way to prevent it.

(Slime/oxylite can end up producing small quantities, but your able to keep such buildings/critters pressurized to prevent offgassing. Or you could use a row of weight plates again.)

Auto-sweeper takes 109 kg of Ign Rock from storage compactor, 

tries to put it in conveyor loader, but it interrupted by automation 

auto sweeper could take 1000kg, and he does it at the beginning, but after 1-2 cycles it starts bugging and takes only small amounts
