dallion
Geranelly, there are 3 points of metals 1. The difference between various type metals is small even ignorable. 2. The low-level machine cannot use refined metals. 3. For most machines, they should be able to be constructed by most type of metals but there should be a difference. Here is some idea for these, For a big battery : 1. I can construct it with either non-refined metals like copper ore, iron ore or refined metals like copper, iron. 2. With non-refined metals, copper ore battery is will lose less energy than iron ore battery per second, while iron ore has more hitpoint then copper ore`s, the gold series may increase it limit a little. 3. With same metal, non-refined will has less positive and more negative attributes, for example, battery energy base lose rate is 1J/s, copper is good at conduct, so copper ore decrease it to 0.5J/s, and refined copper is 0.25J/s, copper ore is low purity so it will generate heat 20J/s while refined copper is 10J/s 4. And we can also use low-quality metals for construct machines, for low technique machine non-refined metals may be ok, but there is no bonus, for high technique machine, if we construct it wich non-refined metals there should be a some navigate on it, such as cost more time to finish the work, consumes more power, even decrease the product amount. There are some points for positives and negatives: 1. Energy loses or consumes rate. 2. Hitpoint. 3. Lower or higher overheat temperature. 4. Work Efficient. 5. Product amount or quality. 6. Specialists-requirement. 7. Minimum attribute requirement. Also, one type of metal is comprehensive should be terrible, for now, steel is the most expensive metal, a steel big battery may + 200C overheat temperature, but it will generate more heat and lose more energy per second At last, this is a great game, I love it! Sasza22
+1 for more differences between metals. As for now it`s just saving copper for exosuits, iron for steel, gold amalgam for high heat pumps and wolframite for arilocks near volcanoes. Refined metals don`t ahve any difference aside of melting point. I`d be nice if that was changed a bit. Alfons100
I agree. Perhaps Mercury you aquire from space which produces less heat if you manage to keep it above melting range? darekadareka
YAH. Some factors like thermal conductivity, a metal tile made of gold and one of tungsten have a small difference. Many things else to talk likes we can't use refined metal to build raw metal stuff, weird.
