low fps at cycle 50 and some cycle later this is good

Hello,

I have reach cycle 50 and than i have a huge fps drop, and my computer is a crazy machine, so i couldn't understand why this fps drop, so some cycle later, the fps was normal again.

Did you experience this too ?

My computer nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 TI

16 GO RAM

intel core i7 8700k

same issue here with AMD Ryzen 7 1700, GTX 1080 Ti, 16GB 3200MHz RAM. My cycle 400 colony with 30 dupes drops down to sub-20 fps just by scrolling around.

As discussed already on this board, ONI is single-threaded.  Also, because we're still in development, there is code for debugging that logs more information that contributes to the poor performance.

I thought I saw a post go by with a branch available without the debugging logs enabled? Sorry I don't have a link.

Ah and when the game will be released he will use multiple core ? If i have understand what you mean.

I have no idea.  The closest they have come is updating their roadmap (at the top of this forum) to state that they plan to start optimizing the code.

Ok, but i was surprised because i didn't experience any fps drop since i play, but that was the first time i go so far in my game, so huge fps drop, and 3 - 4 cycle later the fps was good again. I hope that will be adressed in the futur.
