2 Player?? Local? 2 Controllers?

Hi, So just bought this game after seeing the videos and info stating it Multiplayer - Co-op game, showing 2 players in all the videos and from this infromation, i assumed when it even shows a 'Local Only' that it would be a 2 player local game.

So just installed, started it up with the girlfriend thinking we could play together, but i cant seem to find a way of getting a player 2?
Am i missing something?
Is this even a 2 player game?
- Going to be a let down if its not as looks amazing and we wanna play together :/

Any help would be appreciated.

While yes, it is a two player game, it is not possible for two people to play on the same computer. "Local" in terms of PCs, usually means local area network. It's not the same as splitscreen. 

If this is a huge deal-breaker, then you might want to look into getting a refund on steam.

The game is indeed a multi-player game but the PC version, like any other PC game, it requires two separate PC's (be it PC, laptop, MAC, whatever). If you want the split-screen "version" then get a Playstation, Xbox or something like this that comes with this feature.

Well, sorry about that, but it is not possible to play DST on split screen or whatever.

But if you have Regular DS, it is possible to play it on split screen thanks to an amazing mode "Local CooP: 3 players shared screen. By Desblat v.6.0 [SW ROG VANILLA]" I know you bought only DST, but if you'd plan to buy regular DS too, you can always install this mod and play! (As I remember it works much much better -as if not only- with at least 1 controller (xbox 360 / one) )
