Simple Septic System

Recommended Posts

I know some people think this is a bug that will be removed when the full update comes out but in case it doesn't I built a simple polluted water decontamination that can be used before using a water sieve for germ free water and dirt.

(The polluted geyser and pump with clock is to simulate when dupes use the restroom)

As you can see by this germ overlay the polluted water on the left is germ free

The setup is simple, as polluted water comes in it passes though a pipe germ sensor, if it detect germs then the top shutoff valve turns off and the bottom one turns on so the germy PH2O goes to the liquid reservoir were the germs die from the chlorine. The Pwater then loops back to the germ sensor.

When the sensor detects no germs then it turns on the top shutoff and turns off the bottom shutoff allowing the sterile polluted water to the next room

But I think it possible to use one less shut off, and use the same loop method used for single aqua tuner.

Thanks I redid the build and it works just fine

Inquisitive minds wants to know what the through put is?

All PH2O packets are 10Kg

It only takes about 1/4 a cycle for a full tank to kill all the germs and that's about 150s avarage

It takes 500s to fill the tank

So a little over a full cycle to kill germs in 5000Kg polluted water

Cool. So my initial idea with having two tanks you switch between would make a continuous 10kg/s flow possible.

Haha that's what I'm working on now, this first one was just for proof of concept

My final design will include 2 water sieves and 1 aqua tuner for continuous 10kg/s clean water at 26C

(good for keeping bathrooms cool and watering bristles)

@Saturnus I think it will need 3 tanks as it also takes 500s to empty a clean tank

1 tank to fill

1 tank to kill germs

1 tank to empty
