Honestly, I have not played a space base that late. I have started them over a couple of times. Nah, it does not happen. There must have been some other stuff going on in his build. My solar panel automation has been running flawlessly since a while and others have build similar design without any problems as well. babba
I had a look at the bunker door description...It says "Nearly indestructible". Maybe they got hotter than 1200 celsius and melted from hot debris mounting up over 500 cycles, but I think it was impact collisions. The damage was caused during the first weeks of the cosmic update, as it basically was raining meteors nonstop - With "Bang bang bang" sounds the whole time. I do remember actually seeing bunker tiles and doors crumble on meteor impact in the first week of the cosmic update. So I guess much has changed since then. Had a break from the game, now for 30 cycles I had no meteor at all. To be honest I miss the bang bang bang, gave the game a bit of WW2 bunker feeling. I wish we could get the flying dupes back on meteor impact, that was soooo cool. I try many different new things out (7 segment display, pyramid challenge, musical automation). I think I had the first oil boiler on Youtube way back. I'm not saying I'm super creative either. I respect people like yourself that like to tinker and come up with new ideas. That is what makes this game super fun. My builds may be boring to you now but when I find something that works well, I tend to stick with it. I'm often trying new things (on or off camera) and learning each time I do a new base. I don't do much off camera when building my bases because that is what my viewers have asked for. They don't like to miss anything. More recently I try to speed up or cut out the parts where the dupes run around and build stuff out that has been planned out. My main concern is with newer players who hit a bit of a grind wall trying to build something like your setup. But maybe that is just part of the fun challenge of it all. I disagree with your statement that space is too hard and needs more testing = be made easier. I like the fact that it is a pain in the ass to deal with and I would prefer there being something in the game which is difficult to achieve. I read my text again and it came out more "aggressive" than intended. I should clarify that the only reason I kinda went at you the way I did, is because I really enjoy your content but sometimes find myself get bored because you spend 30 minutes setting up your second electrolyzer setup (for example). I just wish you would cut a bit more but watching your new world, you are putting in more time into the episodes and cutting out boring parts which I very much appreciate. So please do not take it the wrong way. Like most people I am busy with a lot of stuff, and when I complain about something, it is usually because I am passionate about it. Also my favorite YouTube channel is EthosLab and he set a very high standard (in my mind) for the amount of progress I like to see. But that does not mean, that you or anyone has to create similar content to his. I am just a random nobody, do not let me tell you how to make your videos.
