riwenna
It seems that, when one of my gas branches is completely full, half of the gas dissapears at the junction (note the junction just after the radiant piping comes through the water thank... full pipe of oxygen comes through the water tank and into the junction, splits down to the atmo suits (which are currently full), and up to oxygenate the living area - only it seems like half of my oxygen dissapears at the junction even if none is going to the atmo suits), and I end up slowly suffocating which is ... bad. Is this a known bug, and is there a known workaround? I'll be happy to report it on the bug tracker, but honestly I am more interested in suggestions on how to work around this, and oxygenate my suits + living area from the same oxygen supply. Sorry for the mess of gas piping, the empty ones are me hastily building a second oxygen production before I realized the reason for suffocating slowly. And ty for the help Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/94922-gas-pipe-deleting-gas/ Share on other sites
Sheo
It doesnt dissappear, it just tests everytime if the bottom pipe has space to go in if not it goes the other way, this test needs a bit so the oxygen sits there, there while the package in top pipe was already moving a tile, so the gap between the packages. to avoid this build a bridge at the junction downwards. If a bridge is full gas/liquids just move on without testing so no waiting/ no gaps Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/94922-gas-pipe-deleting-gas/#findComment-1078270 Share on other sites
riwenna
So, bridge with the input at the T-junction and output downwards, where the full pipe is? I'll give it a go, thank you so much. Is this the intended behaviour? It sounds odd that the test would take time. Sheo
Yes input at the T and moving on to the top, out pointing down. Dunno if its intended but its works this way xD. Imaging a cross with 4 possible ways to go, so if 3pipes are full it needs much more time and the gap will be bigger cause the game tries to give every pipe the same amount of gas/liquid, counting 1 2 3 4 1 2 3 4 Just to tell the direction the bridge shows has the higher priority, so first ur exos will be filled and then the living area, if u want to act the other way build ur bridge upwards Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/94922-gas-pipe-deleting-gas/#findComment-1078276 Share on other sites
Nitroturtle
If you want both lines to split the gas evenly, but retain full flow when one is full, you want to have them split off the output of a bridge. You can split a pipe up to four directions using this technique, as there are 4 output sides available on the green end of a bridge.
