Sasza22
Now that we got a schedule and some dupes can sleep while others operate machines i think we could use some noise. Like a rock crusher is probably a really noisy machine and if a dupe is sleeping close (like a room above separated by airflow tiles) he could be woken up when somabody starts crushing something. Similarly a phonobox with a party around it could be nosiy enough to wake up some dupes nearby. The effect would be simlar to the current loud sleeper trait but be tied to certain machines during operation. Range of the noise could be varied depending on the machine. I think it might be another challenge in creating your base layout. Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/93797-loud-noises/ Share on other sites

Madbro
Sounds like it is a good idea... challenging but if you see blocks of noice field all the night, that really blocks the sight. Alfons100
I believe that in one of the game's unused items, there seems to be assets for a 'Noise' mechanic I believe, it could be something else too, but by the looks of it is for sound. Don't quote me though. They probably removed it because Decor already fits the same niche. To discourage placing heavy machinery too close to places where they're supposed to sleep and hang out.
