Just wanted to point out that managing stress has never been easier

I know it's early but just wanted to give my initial impressions of the preview branch.

With the QoL introduction dupes pretty much never get stressed, not having enough QoL makes their stress increase by 10% per cycle and with the removal of Decor Expectation increase from jobs, almost all Dupes have a baseline of -35 Decor Expectation which you can imagine is easily satisfied by just removing all the debris from the area.

Again, I know it's really early, but I just wanted to point this out.
EDIT: So here's an example, this dupe has 0/24 QoL but still doesn't get stressed at all due to the Decor Expectation

Same for me. Never had stress issues before even with low quality food but upperclass, near-management jobs. Just to be safe I always built a recreational room with two massage tables, set from 25% to 0%. They have never been used 

But now, oh my, they are stressed out like 14 years old girls at a Bieber concert while a VIP-Pass lottery starts.

Oh, and something changed at the priorities: Had to switch outhouses to 9 so someone would actually empty them or deliver dirt. Right in the beginning where I only had dig and build orders on 5 or lower.

We need that Shift Feature ASAP. When break hits we have some kind of Super Bowl halftime toilet flush-ageddon without any technicians supervising this fiasco. Or back to ONI: Two toilets with only one and two uses left. 5 Dupes start their break. Toilets "break" with no one there to fix them.

Pee stress intensifies!

Not an issue. Maybe it was because of the priorities i had set, but the first thing they did on a new cycle was disinfect outhouses. And then empty outhouses, because i know better them let them fill up and set them up to be cleaned up. I was totally ok with them taking half cycle to clean their ****, as its a 3 dupe challenge.

 

There should be more forms of QoL raisement (Tasty drinks, more games to play) maybe Videogame cabinets will become worn out and need a remake with a good Scientist which takes a long time.

However, ’easy’ QoL increases that are basically no brainers such as Barracks, Mess halls and Nice bathrooms should be changed because every colony should have one because of how easy it is to get, in the mid game they are literally free.

Barracks should not give QoL, but a new room is added, Bedroom which does not have a 100% increase in rest effectivity, but will instead have a +1 in QoL. Will require a little space in the room to make it work and only one bed

Latrines should also only ask for one toilet, any more and it doesn’t work. But less space is needed to balance it out.

Duplicants should also have grudges against some Rec methods with new Traits, like that they won’t Chat with friends, they won’t play Videogames etc etc. Which depending on your colonies current Recreation forms, some Duplicant won’t feel at home there. More recreation methods needs to be in place first.

I was used to avoid specific situations before the update, i see no impact in "hard mode".
If you ask me, it's one of the most important things, to prevent soggy feet / full wet trait, outside the comfort zone, even when they have such a nice animation for it now.
No stress, healthy dupes.
