Oozinator Posted July 5, 2018 Share Posted July 5, 2018 Chlorine has not such a big game impact for now, but i like the color very much and why not give Chlorine a bit more love and functions?When critters breath/surrounded by chlorine, they should die! Perhaps it should take some time, that a skilled rancher could wrangle them up and take them to the next shower, to clear their skin! When they took a chlorine breath, they still should die after a shower, skin decontamination works for cleaning skin only! What about a modular decontamination module, for the shower would be attractive/nice too. Perhaps not all critters should be influenced by this, but those shine bugs for sure, they suck! I have to give some credits to @watermelen671(s) data mining skillz for the artwork i created, because without her, i had no idea, howto visualize my nice idea. Chlorine tasty! Everyone knows, how it tastes, when you swallow some water from a pool, where they use chlorine to kill pee and bacterias in the water, that you can swallow more, without getting sick! When i rub chicken with chlorine cleaner, it get's some sort of special taste and to give ONI a bit more realistic touch, food "value" should change, when coming in contact with chlorine. I had seen many many people here in the forum, using chlorine in a foodchamber to prevent food becoming stale. I call that an exploit and my suggestion is an easy fix for the devs, to get rid of this nasty thing. Food could have the "don't get stale" buff and can keep it, but it should get a -3 in food quality, when in chlorine contact! Visually food could get "bleached" by it and dupes could get a trait/debuff for it easy. Gourmet gets sick from it, much additional stress and should act then like Gordon Ramsey in kitchen nightmare, when he finds stale food in the freezer. FastFoodJunkie / no impact. CO² should stay like it is, because it's "the right way". Smuch Posted July 5, 2018 Share Posted July 5, 2018 I agree withhe ptabout chlorine killing critters (unless they are specificaly chlorine brathing critters) or making fod slighty poisonous , but if tht was the case, there hould be a way to "wash" rations that'd emove chlorine rom them (and maybe germs too, even if smighty less efficiently) I think just as we have we have 'polluted water' which is basicly watr with 10% diluted dirt in it, 'chlorinated water', should be a thing. It could fom ntraly whn a square with a very big cocetrationof chorine getsinc ontct with a square of watr or articifcaly wih a machine that pumps chlorine into water. It would kill any germ in it very quickly but make duplicants that drink it sick. It could be purrifiedinto ordinary waer buy puting it in a water sleeve (who in that cse emi sme chlorine gas nstad of polutd dirt) or jsut letting it long enough incontact with regular oygen air at whcih point the chlorine evaporate after a while. That' be a good way of killing germ in water quickly, much more efficent than the tepidize,yet no too asy to use. I'd also like to see a way to use chlorine to clean my water tanks and make them germfree.
