Kabrute
like from snoring dupes, only with machines. Would make sense to not get any sleep next to the coal generator when its running full bore. Ambaire
I think that digging and constructing should also be sources of noise. Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/92995-incorporate-noise/#findComment-1058584 Share on other sites
yoakenashi
Good idea, but I wouldn’t want to see those pale shaking boxes around all my machinery. I was thinking new overlay for a moment, but do we really need a noise overlay? I think the best solution is just to place a broken symbol on the bed. When you select the bed, there would be a status message saying “Broken: too close to loud machinery”. Ricordis
But it also should affect Dupes nearby not sleeping in a bed like narcoleptic ones. Maybe a toggle button next to the overlay buttons to (de-)activate the visuals for sounds? Anyway, may I suggest to go a step further with noise? It lowers the decor in affected tiles. Offers the option to introduce a new tile (soundproof wall) and giving liquids and vacuums soundabsorbing properties. he77789
Nope only vacuum blocks sound and foam helps a bit. Sound doesn't stop in soilds and liquids, and the sound is even faster in the soilds and liquids.
