Same World, New Character

Hey, does anyone know if there's a way to keep the same world, but use a different character on it? I tried copying the files, but it didn't really work out. If someone can give me a step-by-step process, and write it out, that would be great. Thanks!

You used to be able to. I doubt the devs removed the option on accident. I mean, as much as I would love to keep a world that spawns in a pig village, with a pig king, and a bunch of grass and berry bushes, I am glad they got rid of the power to abuse that.Because I WOULD abuse it.

I'm not sure but maybe you can kill yourself and click "replay"... "retry"? And you would keep your world but have the option to change characters?Again I'm not sure.I'm always using the portal to a new world and now creating multiple games to test stuff. It's been a long time since I died.

In order to get most out of a world you need to transfer into a new world and bring un-renewable materials, restart button is useless for me.

You can choose a new character when you press retry, you just respawn as the character you first picked.

Hmmm. I hope they didn't take it out permanently. I'm trying to keep the same world for my Let's Play, and go through the characters. Ah well. I can work around it.
