TOOK14
So on my new world for Ranching MK2, I had a shine bug extinction before I was ready to work on a habitat for them. I am not opposed to using debug/sandbox on this save in particular, since it's my exploratory run for the update, but I'd rather use debug, as you can't undo sandbox once you activate it, and I already have debug mode available. Can you use debug to spawn critters like shine bugs, and if so, how?
crypticorb
If you are already using debug, use sandbox. It's way less "cheating" and is easy to ignore. Once enabled, sandbox adds a small "Sandbox" button at the top left, and can be toggled on or off at will just like debug. I don't believe you can spawn creatures with debug, without modifying or copying it using custom templates.
MatthewCline
The only way to do this using debug mode is to select a living critter, save it as a template, then paste the template.
