Acru
I kinda expected some of the new creatures to be spawned in my MkI map when I loaded it into MkII, but nope. I really don't want to cheat to add them, but will they ever spawn on their own if I don't? Generally, if a creature is extinct on a map, will they ever be generated naturally? Otherwise, what is the least cheaty way to add the new creatures? How many would be natural? *** Edit; Templates if anyone else wants to add them in debug mode, creatures only, no tiles; Drecko.yaml Pacu.yaml Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/90467-migrating-to-mkii-missing-new-creatures/ Share on other sites
neoazureus
They will never appear, they are created in the world generation. So you need to start a new game. Or you can spawn them with sandbox mode. With this mode u can't see the hidden map, debug mode reveal the map Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/90467-migrating-to-mkii-missing-new-creatures/#findComment-1032491 Share on other sites

PhailRaptor
Unfortunately, there is no way to get map elements from a new update into a save game that was created before that update. Or at least, without using Sandbox. Yes, but u can turn off sandbox mode, and never use it again or you can share your save file and ask someone to add the creatures with the debug mode to your map, and return the save file. crypticorb
Ranching Mk2 added a lot of new stuff, but the only real difference in the map are the new creatures. Debug mode does not offer the ability to spawn creatures, unfortunately. Sandbox mode does, but cannot be disabled afterwards. If you enable sandbox mode, spawn a few dreckos in the chlorine biomes, and some pacu fish in the swamp waters, you'll have everything the new update has to offer. I ended up doing this in debug mode with some custom templates. I added them to the OP if anyone wants.
