oxygenmissing
I have seen this issue posted in many other sites as well as the bug tracker, but I am reposting it here as it was left unanswered and I could not find any mention of a fix in the recent patch notes. The recipe queue on all machines only works with non-continuous items. I doubt this was an intentional feature, but when multiple recipes are set as 'continuous' and queued up in the musher, grill, or even the rock granulator, only the first recipe is produced. If ingredients for this recipe run out, the musher/grill/granulator does NOT continue to the next continuous recipe. I have confirmed this in my last play-through by queuing up continuous mush bars after my continuous liceloaf: after the Meal Lice ran out, no mush bars were made despite me having plenty of dirt (and plenty of water). Hence, the only way to currently automate food production is to have multiple grills and mushers depending on how many recipes are being made, and to set priorities on each machine. This is very inconvenient, takes up a lot of space and defeats the purpose of a queue. Furthermore, the chef will oftentimes not finish cooking the designated recipe and leave each grill/musher with half-made items, which seems to further confuse the queue and the selected priorities. The clear solution here is to have the musher/grill/granulator queue work as a priority system - the first item in the queue has the highest priority and so on. When the highest priority recipe is out of ingredients, the next recipe in the queue is produced (assuming ingredients are available), and so on. Of course, the whole system can be connected to an electrical shutoff and a fridge, which automatically turns everything off once there is enough food prepared. This would allow for complete food automation with only one musher and grill, which considering the speed of a good cook, is more than enough for a smaller colony. vovik
This is how it is supposed to work. Another survival game - rimworld has it implemented, and its not even v 1.0, it is v0.18. For myself, i made one grill by recipe i need most of the time, for the other i do some micromanagement for now but at term, i will have one grill for each recipe i use Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/90419-electric-grill-musher-continuous-queue-needs-improvement/#findComment-1032013 Share on other sites
Smuch
It would be nice if there was a 'automaticaly jump to the next recipe for which the ingredients are disponible' checkable option, such as say if you queued a liceloaf in the musher and a mushbar next, and you don't have the ingredients for the loaf but you have for the mush, the queue goes to the mushbar automticaly rather than beng stuck on the recipe that can't be currently done. (Unless there already is such an option and I missed it ? i apologize then.) Yoma_Nosme
I'm not sure but can't it be automated? Freezers with automation wire turning couple of grills on/off when food is low. You would need to have a grill for each food and fridge for each food you would like to have Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/90419-electric-grill-musher-continuous-queue-needs-improvement/#findComment-1033650 Share on other sites

I tell my cook to prepare meals continuously and he/she needs to execute my order based on the ingredients available, using the the priority I've selected for the recipes (list order) Building several grills is a waste of space.
