Unlock building by tearing it down

I think it would be interesting to deconstruct it to an “AETN element”, so that you can reconstruct only the ones you deconstruct. This would maintain the balance of having only a few in the map, but would also allow players to move them around freely. Same would go for any other unique objects in the POI. Ha, a “broken light element”. Then you could creat a new POI category of elements.

Interesting, my only issue is I like the challenge provided by having to work my base around where the resources ended up spawning.

Seems like it would be a bit too easy if I could just tear down the AETNs and rebuild them all together in a little insulated room at the bottom of my base

It sounds like it would make it more useful. It is useful enough as it is, with all the problems associated with location. Though maybe I'm overstating them.

I find it weird that you can deconstruct the actually useful POI, but we still have no way to get rid of the useless trash that only serves as eyesore.

Me.

I like to test different builds in real gameplay, but not every seed has every combination of geysers and volcanoes, and sometimes dupes and critters are intolerably stupid, requiring an ALT-Q teleportation to save a life. There are also many tests and setups that are unfeasible outside of debug, but are only really testable in normal gameplay.

ONI is still in beta, and when everything is subject to drastic change, sometimes the only way to salvage a ruined save file is to use debug.
