JoeBroski09
Today I learned not to try and balance on a metal post. Slipped and hit the post with my tailbone, not fun to say the least…My worst fear when standing on any kind of pole in a playground. In WA state, it's almost always wet, so I'm always afraid I'm going to slip, even if it's dry in the middle of summer.
Toaster Fu
How often do you go to the playground?
JoeBroski09
How often do you go to the playground?A few times every summer. My good friend lives a few miles from one, and me and all his brothers, and Xack when he lived up here, and possibly some others, and everyone's wife and girlfriend and fiance would all go there on bikes, long-boards, or skateboards, and we'd all hang there and play around. Toaster Fu
Sounds awesome. Which naturally sparks the question, hobbys anyone? I did a little stunt kite flying, also crazy amounts of fun.
cptCalavera
It is awsome A bit to cold now though. But I hear it is big in Australia so I'll probably buy another when when I get there :)Well, Gaming Did some juggling when I was younger. Climbing and Freediving (Dont do those so much due to lack o training oportunities.)Hmm, probably missing a bunch. So, stunt-kite? Whats that all about? Toaster Fu
So a stunt is basically a kite with two strings, one for each hand. Having two strings allows you to turn and maneuver the kite.Check out this video.www.youtube.com/watch?v=LjL-36tMhwcI was no where near that good. cptCalavera
Whoa, nice :)I might have to try that out some time, how much would you pay for such a thing?
Toaster Fu
For a good starter kite you'd be looking at $130-170, Top of the line kite will run you around $300.And with a 8ft wing span you can get a pretty good workout on a windy day. cptCalavera
Hmm, so maybe I won't have to try that some time :PMaybe, but it's for the future in that case
Toaster Fu
Ya not what you'd call cheap. One thing I've always wanted to try is a parafoil. Think of it as a parachute you hold. There are some video of guys getting pulled off the ground.
cptCalavera
haha, sounds awsome as well - - - Updated - - -And ye. Bad thing about hobbies is that they cost a lot of money. Not all of them. But a lot of them :/
Toaster Fu
Can't argue with that. You know the Mercs game I was talking about? Six miniatures cost about $42.
cptCalavera
Ouch. That is not cheap :/I have been thinking about doing some kind of miniature-model-landscape-thingy for a while. But first I need a bigger place to live And Im afraid its gonna cost me a bunch of money.
Toaster Fu
If you do start model landscaping be prepared to get a bunch of flock everywhere.
JoeBroski09
I played baseball for 10 years, and I then quit because I was bullied a bunch when I had to play for a highschool I didn't actually go to, and because I didn't cuss, I was kinda outcasted. So, I got more into Video Games and when I broke my ankle, I got really into graphic design and video making. I'm a nerd. Used to be a jock, but now I'm just pure nerd. JoeBroski09
I've seen that video way too many times... but, yeah, kinda like that. I bought a car that gets up to 38mpg, I spend most my extra money on electronics, and I enjoy working on projects on my computer. It didn't really make me "antisocial" until I kinda had a falling out with my best friends, and just wanted to be alone. Since then, I've been a much more independent person. Which means I'm just alone most of the time, and I like it hahaha!

cptCalavera
Alone time is good time :)Thats a downside to having a girlfriend. I feel guilty when I spend to much time on my computer :/ But its a give and take thing so all is good in the end :)Fu. Ye I plan on having a seperate room just for that, to minimize the problem
