Kasuha
Not my invention but I thought it's definitely worth crossposting here. Anyone remembers how we used to build vacuum storage through corners? Well, it's kind of still possible: Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/89527-xpost-from-reddit-vacuum-food-storage/ Share on other sites

0xFADE
Is there any benefit of void storing food over co2 storing it? Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/89527-xpost-from-reddit-vacuum-food-storage/#findComment-1023862 Share on other sites

Heat is the only advantage I can think of as opposed to any normal sterile gas build. Zarquan
It is also easier to build this in more opportune places. If you built this with CO2, you would either have to have an identical setup or you would have to have it be larger for a single fridge or you would have to build it in the bottom of your base. I sometimes use a setup like this in the mess hall or the med bay to store a small amount of food so that they don't have to go in to the food storage area every time they want to eat. I suppose if there were CO2 in there, it would stay, but it could leak CO2 and make your mess hall unbreathable if the pressure in the room drops. MidnightSteam
Yeah....too much work for one fridge. Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/89527-xpost-from-reddit-vacuum-food-storage/#findComment-1023900 Share on other sites
