MythN7
So my go to method for killing germs on slime was to put it in a container with a few hundred kgs of bleach stone, and the germs just vanished so fast. Now the slime is not losing germ what so ever in the container with bleach stone, its actually gaining like 1 germ per sec for some reason. I even dropped it out of the container and the bleach stone to so it could spew clorene in the area, and the germs on it were growing by 2% per instead of dying. GrindThisGame
Try putting it in a chlorine gas filled room and things should die quickly. Why I am asking if it changed or not. Or if its just a bug im seeing. Lutzkhie
you need a lot of chlorine, just fill the room with at least 1.8kg of chlorine, bleach stone emits chlorine at very low rate Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/89061-did-this-last-update-change-how-bleach-stone-works/#findComment-1019167 Share on other sites
Coolthulhu
Bleach stone doesn't affect adjacent items in any way. It only produces chlorine. Any item in a tile with chlorine on it will be disinfected at rate of 100%/cycle. It doesn't matter if it's just 5mg of chlorine, but small amounts will probably get swept away fast. If you're storing your slime underwater, there is no way bleach stone can disinfect it. It did seem way to crazy over powered of a method to kill germs, even thought it was very awkward to only keep a small bit of bleach stone in the compactors without the dups trying to grab it to move it to the next bin with a higher number or combine the stacks when i was trying to only keep 200kg per compactor. heh. Instead of rooms filled with chlorine I just line up 5 scrubbers, as the gas use is minimal and they dont leak gas causing it to get in your entrance. Bleach stone in compactors was never doing anything other than emitting chlorine gas. Chlorine gas kills surface germs. Chlorine gas-filled storage rooms kill off germs. I think you've not got enough chlorine gas present. Slimelung will actively grow in CO2/PO2 - so check that you haven't got lots of that floating around your storage rooms instead of chlorine. Bleach stone will only sublimate (give off gas) if there is a low enough atmospheric pressure. I normally put my bleachstone into a separate room with 5-6 compactors in it. Set each compactor to like 500kg and throw a pump in there. This gives a small supply of chlorine gas that can be used to fill storage compactor rooms. As in enough chlorine was seeping out to seem like it was just the stone in the compactor. In this case I have now that made me ask, I have the compactor in well over 1000g o2, in a large ish area. MythN7
ok, i just moved my bin to a new area like how I usually set it up and its working like i expect. I guess when theres not enough 02 that it shows red on the gas chart the stone just seeps enough that its hard to see cursoring the area for chlorine in the air, so it appears the stone in the box is doing the job.
