captainharlow
Please reduce some of the geyser cycle times. I have one that waits over 100 cycles before it starts again. ImpalerWrG
I think long cycle times are perfectly appropriate. Careful stewardship of resources is one of the key concepts in the game so I think 100 cycles is not unreasonable, so long as the actual output one it goes is commensurate with the wait. Agreed. 100 cycle downtime is ridiculous. I want the option to mod out downtimes altogether, or reduce them to <20 cycles max. Uptime should be like 50 cycles. I'd like the option to retain the occupation update geysers, really. They have a very nice cycle going on that doesn't need changing. BlueLance
You do know they reduced all the geyser times, I don't think there are any above 80 now. I wish there were because I have too much Natural Gas just sitting around. Now there is a chance to get even more of them. They were about 20-30 cycles dormancy and activ for about 60 with 400-500g per second. I've never seen any over maybe 100g/s with 60% downtime and 70% inactive. And that's the problem with the current implementation. The difference between good rolls and bad rolls is too much. A world may only be able to sustain 4-5 dupes or it may be able to sustain a mega fortress with no problems. BlueLance
I seem to be the only person who lucks out.... Everyone has been mentioning all these bad ones and I am just sitting here going.... I have too many resources. I will admit my entire base will run on 120g/s of natural gas most of the time, very rarely do I go above that whilst supporting up to 16 dupes. But my base is very ehhh intermittent? I have 4 Electrolyzers, 10 Gas Pumps, 4 Liquid Pumps, 10 Exo Suit Docks, 2 Cookers. But in saying that, things like the electrolyzers, 6 of the pumps and exo suit docks are only on for very short bursts. My base now runs off of 6 smart batteries (Each is suposed to be connected to its own power circuit, Nat Gas, Hydrogen, Coal, Steam, Hamster wheels and petroleum) but right now only the first 3 are hooked up. I could just run it all on 1 battery I suppose but I like the idea of each one being for its own thing. I am going to create a post about the geysers, and ask for screenshots in it so people can see how wide and varied the geysers are, maybe the devs will look at it and change the numbers a bit?
