Stoof
Struggling in the new build to have my dupes put polluted dirt in compost, any help please? Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/88522-polluted-dirt/ Share on other sites
Cypher-7
Raise the priority of your compost pile. Was having the same problem, worked for me at least. Giltirn
If your dupes have any other job types prioritized (eg research, building, digging) they won't ever work on the compost heap, even if it is priority 9, unless they have completed *all* tasks of their prioritized job types, even if those tasks have priority 1. This is a problem with the new job system that I cannot see an obvious way to fix. You should perhaps have at least 1 dupe with (probably) supply set with highest priority (or at least priority equal to their existing highest). The only workarounds I see are either leaving every job priority at standard so that errand urgency still determines who does what and when or take on at least one dupe per job so that every possible task will be covered by someone whose primary function is to cover that type of work. Hopefully the devs will flip the new system so that task urgency trumps job priority before the preview branch goes live two weeks from now. The task priority would then act to categorize tasks, and the job priority to tune how the dupes choose among the tasks of that category. Stoof
My workaround was to feed polluted dirt to my hatch farm. Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/88522-polluted-dirt/#findComment-1013561 Share on other sites
