Parusoid
Does anyone know where the exact suction point/s are? I thought the air/water is sucked from the tiles that the pump is placed (so using image below that would be tile 6,7,10 and 11 for water pump) You can use the guide below: Spoiler Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/87468-exact-suction-points-of-pumps/ Share on other sites
Kabrute
with the big ones its 80% 10/11 the rest of the suction seems to float around that, with the minis it appears to be 8, with again, a little disc field effect surrounding it Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/87468-exact-suction-points-of-pumps/#findComment-1002952 Share on other sites
Coolthulhu
I've seen a pump "grab" liquid from below it, though it only did it when it had some liquid in own tile. My hypothesis is that they start sucking in all tiles they cover, but if they run out mid-suck, they try the neighbors. It's important to note that they seem to mix fluids from their own tiles. That is, a pump in polluted water with clean water on top will not output only polluted water then only clean water, but will mix them proportionally to something (mass?). The Plum Gate
in tight spaces (6,7,10,11), I wouldn't be surprised if the body of the liquid pump, given ...oil, water and polluted water, first pumps a packet of oil, then polluted water, then water. This would be consistent with distillation column and animation as well.
